Gambling is very much a hidden addiction which can affect all age groups and which can result in considerable emotional, mental and physical stress to the gambler and his/her significant others. RCA Trust offers Scotland-wide one-on-one gambling related counselling for clients who can either self-refer or who are referred by other agencies. It can be helpful if staff have an understanding of gambling related matters, indicators of problem gambling and what help is available.
RCA Trust offer free of charge awareness and training sessions, formal and informal, to other agencies, gamblers and high risk demographic groups within the geography of Glasgow, West Dunbartonshire, East Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and North Ayrshire in order to appraise staff of the gambling environment, the impact of gambling addiction and its relationship with other disordered behaviours and also guidance on how to recognise gambling as an underlying issue. They offer one-on-one brief interventions for service users and significant others presenting with gambling related issues. As previously stated, they can also arrange longer term counselling, across Scotland, if appropriate to a client's needs.
Please contact RCA Trust on 0141 887 0880 or email email@example.com if you would like any further information or would like to arrrange a presentation.
