In 1999 the SRT Project was awarded theTempleton Prize in recognition of its pioneering work at the interface of ethics and technology. The SRT celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2010 with a variety of events ranging from an anniversary conference, academic lectures and storytelling for children and families.
