Church of England
John is the Church of England’s National Stewardship and Resources Officer. Since 2005 he has been responsible for encouraging church members to give generously to support the mission and ministry of their local parishes. Stewardship is broader than this, though, encompassing how we use all that God has entrusted us with – our time, our money, our talents and the chance to participate in mission.
John’s background is in marketing - everything from sandwiches to soap-powder. After a PhD in retail marketing (perhaps the UK’s only PhD with more time spent stacking shelves than in the library!), John spent eleven years with Procter and Gamble, before moving to a range of marketing roles in the Midlands. He is also a Reader in his local church.
John is married to Jane, and they have two children.
